The short version: we keep your email address so we can send you a question, and a record of which questions we sent. We never ask what you thought about them, so we have nothing to lose or sell.

What we hold

  • Your email address. Needed to send the thing you subscribed to, and to log you in.
  • Your subscription status and the reference IDs Stripe gives us. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles payment entirely.
  • Which questions we sent you, and when. This is what your account page lists back to you.
  • Whether you opened an email. Our email provider reports this. It tells us a question landed, nothing about what you made of it.
  • Basic usage analytics — pages visited, signups started and completed — so we know whether the site works.
  • Anything you write in the contact form, so we can reply.

What we deliberately do not hold

Your answers. Sundial has nowhere to type one. The thinking a question provokes is yours, and it never reaches us — not stored, not analysed, not inferred.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of services to run Sundial, and each sees only the part it needs: Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (sending the emails), PostHog (usage analytics), and Slack (where signup notices and contact-form messages reach us). We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.

How long we keep it

While you are subscribed, and for a short while after in case you come back. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your email address and your delivery history. Stripe keeps payment records for longer, because tax law requires it.

Your say

Write to us and you can have a copy of what we hold, a correction to it, or the whole lot deleted. No form to fill in, no reason needed — just ask via the contact form.

Cookies

One cookie to keep you logged in, and analytics to count visits. No advertising trackers, so there is no consent banner to click away.
